Tying Puchibi Sashes

  1. For best results in tying the bow, position the sash above the waistline with the seam facing down and touching the waistline, then bring the sash ends together at the center back of the dress.
  2. Next, flip one end over the other and pulling on both ends, snug this first part of the knot up to the center back waist.
  3. Now go to the dress front and scrunch the fabric on the sash evenly so it falls in nice folds like on a cummerbund.
  4. Then go to the dress back and tighten the first flip once again so it is hugs the waist with no room to spare, and complete tying the bow.
  5. Finish by opening the folds of the bow to their maximum width and adjusting the fanning (evening the folds) on the knot as well. The tie ends should extend nicely down the back of the dress, pointed ends coming together at the center back of the dress.
